You may be right, but the Chuy's we went in to in Arlington sure reminded me of the California stores. Both in decor & food style.

Different Chuy's I think; the ones here started in Austin and haven't made it to California yet. There is one in Arlington - be sure and try the creamy jalapeno ranch with your chips!

I love Blue Christmas; went to a fireworks show at Christmas one year where the pyrotechnics were synchronized to the music, and when Blue Christmas came on there was a huge blue explosion every time Elvis sang the word "blue." Quite memorable, and been a favorite song ever since.

As I recall, he breaks into the Eyes in the middle of The Yellow Rose of Texas in one of his movies, but not sure which one. I think PGT has a recording of it.

Well, crud. I guess I forgot to sign it. I'll go do that now.
If I had ever heard Elvis do Eyes of Texas, it might make that list; but, I haven't so it didn't.

Absolutely, never on Blue Christmas Never!.
Crying in the Chapel... meh. I think that one is easily skipped in my brain, because my Grandmother & Mother used to sing that song all the time. I think I just burned out on it. But, I can certainly understand why it would be in someone else's top-10 list.

and, personally, I'm delighted to see Chuy's in Texas. We used to eat at them all the time in California.

So do you know how I figured out this wasn't a post from PGT? 1) The use of the word "Mum"..2) The fact that "The Eyes of Texas" wasn't on the list! Yes...as I recall, he did do a rendition of that song..and it was quite good if memory serves :) - PGB

What, no Blue Christmas or Crying in the Chapel?

Stacy and I went to Chuy's for lunch; I had The #2: Elvis Presley Memorial Combo - excellent!
