OK…call me a sucker..but I think he did what he needed to do. People are going to continue to ridicule him, and they are entitled to their own opinion. I am looking at from a couple views:
1) Does he really get that what he did was wrong? I think clearly he does, AND more importantly he is willing to admit that he thought he could get away with it because of who he was. This guy has been protected and untouchable for a good portion of his life..and I think that had a lot to do with his feeling of invincibility and/or entitlement
2) Was he simply trying to save face? No..I really don’t think so. As far as a public figure apology goes, he didn’t really try to mask the magnitude or maliciousness of his actions. AND…I didn’t get the impression he was trying to portray a sympathetic figure.
Now…only time is gonna tell whether he was geniune or just another freakin’ athlete reading what he was told to say. Just my opinion ~ PGBryan

As for me… it was nice, but it doesn’t get him off the hook. He did the right thing, but way too late. How much this will tarnish his legacy remains to be seen, but there will be fans that never return. I haven’t decided if I am one of them. For now, I must admit I am enjoying watching him twist in the wind. I don’t feel sorry for him one little bit, not because of what he did, but how he handled the aftermath. I don’t even feel sorry for his wife… those I feel really sorry for is his kids.

Tired of watching Tiger’s lame, unemotional apology ad nauseum?
Try this collection of apologies instead:
