Whether you like it or not, crashes are a part of the NASCAR sport – just as much as fighting is a part of hockey and flopping is a part of soccer. We’d rather not see it happen, but it does. Unlike the flopping allegory, however, when crashes occur, it can be pretty spectacular. Here’s […]
I know February is almost over, but really, is it ever too late to get your 2011 calendar? English Pubs 2011 Wall Calendar English Pubs Wall Calendar: The word “Pub” is the informal name for a “public house” which is an establishment that can serve alcoholic drinks on site. One hundred and seventy-five years ago today a letter was written pleading to the people of Texas and the United States to send aid and reinforcements to the small band of men, women, and children hold up in the Alamo Mission. Most of us know at least a little of the story of the Alamo but many […]
Just in time for the Oscars, I present 10 (well, 9 anyway) movies that would be shoe-ins…were they to be made. 1. Red Dawn of the Dead World War III breaks out leaving Patrick Swayze (Jed) leading a rag-tag band of kids (including Lea Thompson and Jennifer Gray) on the run. It’s not long before […]
Anyone who knows me, knows that my blood bleeds a peculiar colour of Arsenal Red and White. My wife knows this and because she is who she is, my life is adorned with Arsenal paraphernalia from all walks of life and all corners of the planet. What I don’t have is this Arsenal Blanket. Feel […]

Very Coffee, very chocolately. Not really my thing. But I see the appeal.
Great name, non descript taste. Typical stout.
Wow is this beer good. Oatmeal with chili peppers. A taste of roasting. Either the peppers or the oatmeal I imagine.
My first brew from the McKinney brewer. A bit of chocolate with I think a bit of nut. The bartender at the very nice Holy Grail pub in Plano are feeding me loads of information about this local brew so I will have more of it later. – PGT
In yet another highly controversial subject that the PubGuys are not afraid to take on we present to you the Top 10 Sports Movies: 10. Brian’s Song – The movie that made it ok to cry about sports. 9. Bad News Bears – The kids remind us of the way we were… OK, they way […]
One of my locals, the Trinity Tavern, has a limited selection of beers (Coors Light, Bud Light, Stella Artois and Shiner Bock being the 4 on draught). They recognized this early on as a shortcoming, so they purchased a keg-o-rator at a local auction and they rotate specialty beers through that one tap. Their most […]keep looking »
