This is currently my favourite heavy hitter stout up on tap at the Draughthouse in Austin. I’ve noticed that the heavier the gravity (this one is a ~10), the… what’s the word I’m looking for… flatter? that’s not quite right, but the highs and lows of the imperial stouts frequently become less high and low. Those more perky, if you will, stouts generally stand best on their own, but this one has become a favourite of mine with pizza, especially with extra jalapenos.
